Minerva Fuentes Hernandez

Minerva Fuentes Hernandez, age 83, a resident of Oxnard, California passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 8, 2018. Minerva was born on February 1, 1935 in San Isidro/Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. Daughter of Marcos Fuentes and Maria de Jesus  Sendejo.

Minnie was the youngest of six siblings and is survived by her sister Guadalupe Rocha.  Minnie was blessed with seven children, Mary Portillo  (Alfred),  Greg Hernandez  (Delia), Patricia Hernandez (passed), Sandra Wooton (Tony), Lupe Whelan (Shari),  Lydia Hernandez (Randy) and  Irene Cordero (Rene).  Minnie was also blessed with thirteen (13)  grandchildren and eighteen (18) great-grandchildren.  Minnie lived in Arizona for many years and moved to California in 1976 where she raised her children.

Minnie will be remembered for her beautiful soul and endless love for her family.  She was a beautiful and loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first.  There was love in everything she did for her family and she did everything with her unforgettable warm smile.
