Sadly, we lost our son, family member and friend Jason Christopher Deits on October 31, 2018, when he passed away due to smoke inhalation from a fire in his attic. A man of many talents, Jason will never be forgotten. He is survived by his father Chris and mother Michelle.

Those who knew him would tell you that Jason had a heart for those most in need, was a great listener that put himself aside for the benefit of another and was a very charitable person. He was a quick learner and fierce competitor in everything from shooting pool to fishing or a game of Words With Friends. His family trusted him, his friends could count on him, and a stranger would always be welcomed. It took a lot to try his patience, but if you did, he was sure to let you know you were an idiot. His smart remarks and wit kept you on your toes. There was nothing that got by this sharp man, and he was loved for that.

The viewing and rosary to honor the life of Jason Deits will be held this Sunday, November 11, 2018 beginning at 6 pm at the Reardon Funeral Home. His holy funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, November 12, 2018, at Santa Clara Parish, 323 South E St. in Oxnard, at 10am with a reception to follow. The internment of Jason's Urn will be on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North H St. Oxnard, at 11am.

Jason would not have wanted for his family and friends to saddened by his death, but to seek what brings them joy. 1 Peter 1: 8-9 "Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls."
