I have many wonderful memories of your dad, and was so sorry to hear of his passing.

Dad,
I can't believe we actually had to write an obit for you. You loved to read these to keep check on all of your Ventura County friends. You defeated the odds so many times in the past year that I truly didn't believe you would ever leave us. You were always the one who helped everyone through this process of death (you couldn't stand saying passing or passed), and now you're not here to see us through this. We are all trying to remember what you have taught us, to get us through each new day. You said it was okay to cry and be sad. You also told us that living and dying was just the way it is. I am proud of who you were and what you stood for. You were a real, honest man; a beautiful father and husband. Our memories will stay bright and vivid in our minds forever. Love you, Dad.
