He was born on April 18, 1927, in Galbis, Camagüey, Cuba, where he spent his formative years surrounded by the warmth of his family and the vibrant culture of his homeland. Solano lived through the turbulent times leading up to the Cuban Revolution in 1959, a period that significantly shaped his life and his decisions. In 1960, seeking new opportunities and freedom, he made the courageous decision to migrate to the United States, where he built a new life for himself and his family.
Solano's legacy lives on through his wife of many years, Reinalda, and his seven children: Melene, Solano Jr., Frances, Denny, Aldo, Sylvia, and Michael. He was also the proud grandfather of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward the values and wisdom he imparted to them throughout his long and fulfilling life such as the importance of education and the joys of travel.
Solano was known for his resilience, work ethic, and deep love for his family.
