Rosemarie Valdivia Medina

Rosemarie Valdivia Medina, 57, passed away May 18, 2024, after a short battle with cancer, in the presence of her loving children, sister and mother. Her final weeks were spent with her children and close family and friends by her side.

Born on August 10, 1966, in Ventura, CA, to Emilio and Rosemarie Valdivia, Rosemarie spent her life in the El Rio community among many family members. Professionally, Rosemarie worked many years in the medical field and as a casual longshoreman at the Port of Hueneme.

Known for her outgoing and social personality, Rosemarie was a friend to all and will be dearly missed by those who had the privilege to know her. Rosemarie's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing. May she be remembered for her delicious cooking, specifically her Chile Verde enchiladas, craftiness and love for flowers, her giving heart, and beautiful smile! Rosemarie enjoyed spending her time at family gatherings, where she was often the life of the party. She also enjoyed singing in the worship choir at church with her friends and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly!

Rosemarie is survived by her children, Randy Medina (Shannon), Timothy Medina, Rudie Mia Fuentes, and Emilio Figueroa (Jennifer), and her four grandchildren, Rayanna, Ruthie, Rose, Augie, Roman (RoRo) and Jayden Milo. She is also survived by her mother, Rosemarie Gil Valdivia; her sisters, Emilia Valdivia Medina and Olivia Valdivia; brothers Emilio Valdivia and Arnold Valdivia Sr., along with many relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded into death and welcomed into Heaven's golden gates by her Beloved Son, Augustine David Medina, her dear Father Emilio Valdivia Sr., and her beautiful sister, Maryellen Valdivia Medina.

The family invites you to celebrate Rosemarie's life with them on Friday, May 31st, Funeral Service 10:00 am at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 North A Street, Oxnard, CA 93030.

Burial will be at 2:00 pm, at  Ivy Lawn Cemetery, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura, CA 93003.
