Rosa “Rose” Olivares 86, born November 1, 1934. passed on August 29, 2021. For several years Rose fought several ailments that resulted as a part of aging. She was preceded in death by her husband Pedro Olivares and three children; Peter Olivares, Stevie Olivares and Josie Olivares. She is survived by 1 brother and 1 sister and her 8 children: Gloria Grado, Rick Gonzales, Susie Olivares, Jennie Olivares, Joe Olivares, Rachel Olivares, Sandy Olivares and Lillian Gonzalez, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren who were all very special to her.

Rose worked many years as a housekeeper to provide for her family before retiring. Throughout her life she enjoyed embroidering for her family, dancing at gatherings, and going boutique “thrift” store shopping for unique treasures. She also enjoyed watching novelas, doing word searches, scratching lottery tickets, and had an extensive doll collection. Her greatest love was spending time with her family celebrating birthdays, holidays and the achievements of her family.

She will be dearly missed.

Rosary/Remembrance services will be on September 15th at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N A St, Oxnard, from 5pm -9pm.

On September 16th at 10am the mass will be performed at Santa Clara Church, 323 S E St, Oxnard. Followed by procession to Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 N H St, Oxnard, where Rose will be laid to rest.
