Ronald Steinmeyer Obituary

Ronald Ernest Steinmeyer, a man of integrity and warmth, was born on June 7, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Ernest and Elsie Steinmeyer. He peacefully passed away on June 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Ron proudly served his country in the US Army, receiving an honorable discharge, before embarking on a career as an IT Professional after graduating from Drexel University. He dedicated many years of service to Anthem Blue Cross and Mitsubishi Motors in Long Beach, where he honed his expertise in the field. Ron's commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to his family.

On December 24, 1996, Ron married Patricia Towner. Together, they shared countless memories of joy and companionship in Long Beach where Ron continued to excel in his IT career at Mitsubishi Motors.

Beyond his professional life, Ron had a passion for bridge, a game he played with skill and enthusiasm, traveling, cruising, camping, and spending time in the mountains. He was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, always cheering them on with unwavering loyalty.

He is survived by his sister Barbara Rutter (George); daughters Karen Steinmeyer Queen (Daniel), Leigh Ann Eller (Michael); stepchildren Chris Medina (Steve), Michael Vogel (Jennifer); eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Elsie; and stepchildren, Geoffrey and Deborah.
