Robert "Bob" Perez Obituary

Robert Perez passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 14, 2024. He was born February 24,1936, the son of Santiago and Carolina Perez. He grew up in Moorpark and attended school in the Moorpark school district and at Ventura College.

Bob joined the Army and served in the Korean war. After leaving the Army, Bob returned home to California where he worked as a civilian for the United States Government as a contractor in their purchasing department, retiring after 37 years of service.

Bob dedicated his life to nurturing his family and excelled as a dedicated husband to the love of his life Stella for 53 years, a loving father to his children and a doting grandfather to his grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Bob served in many organizations and played an active role in his community, including The Knights of Columbus, various school fundraisers and activities, coaching soccer, and baseball. He was a fan of all sports, especially the activities of his children and grandchildren.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Carolina Perez; son Robert “JR” Perez; granddaughter Ashley Nichole Peralta; and brother James “Jimmy” Perez.

The family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at the VA in Redlands, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, and to all family and friends who supported us during this difficult journey.

Bob’s legacy of love, selflessness and dedication to his family and friends will remain forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13 at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. A Street, Oxnard. A reception will follow.
