Richard Gutierrez

Richard A. Gutierrez, born in 1936, passed away on September 17, 2024, surrounded by his family. Growing up in Oxnard, he attended Santa Clara High School, where he earned the nickname “Killer” as a star football player. After working in local fields, he joined the army and was stationed in Germany. Post-military, he had a long career with 3M in Camarillo. 

Richard loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors, traveling, and sports.

He is survived by his sons: Larry, Charlie, Richard (Patty) and David; daughters: Debi (Mark), Krissy (Tino), Anna (Joe), Gina; stepchildren: Gary, Jerry, Ricky, Donna, Darlene (Greg), and Debbie; brother Louie Lopez; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Emilio and Ruth Lopez; father Antonio Gutierrez; son Kevin; and sister Esther.
