It's with a heavy heart that the Ramírez family announce the passing of their beloved Raul. Raul Roman Ramirez, born April 16, 1943 in Michoacán, Mexico, passed away on February 26, 2024 after fiercely battling multiple health issues over the years. In his final days he was surrounded by his wife, children, grand children, great children, extended family and friends. Raul lived in Oxnard for 80 years. He was a lover of Harley Davidson motorcycles and fought for social justice & human rights as a Brown Beret in the 1970s. He then continued the fight as an O.C.A.W./PACE/ United Steel Workers Union Representative for over 25 years. Raul had the pleasure of living the retirement life since 2006.
Raul enjoyed family gatherings & spending time with his grand children and great grand children; having weekly breakfast & playing cards with his friends. He also enjoyed traveling to places far and near such as Las Vegas, Cabo, Rome, Italy, and the Holy Land (Jerusalem). He was a diehard fan of the Dodgers and Raiders and loved to go camping. Raul is survived by his beautiful wife Gloria, whom he was married to for 61 years; sons Raul Ramirez Jr, Ronald Ramirez, Roman Ramirez (wife Jackie); daughter Regina Ramirez Alarcon (husband Joel); 14 grand children, 20 great grand children.
