Raul Nunez

Raul Nunez, born and raised in Oxnard was 83 years old.  He peacefully passed away in his home on January 19, 2024.  He was a beloved father, brother, and grandpa with a community of friends.

Raul married his high school sweetheart Maria Porras and had three daughters that were the pride and joy of his life.  Later, he got re-married to Sylvia Florio in 1994 and shared a love of travel with her.

Throughout his life, Raul was a man of strong work ethics, and would push you toward your goals.  He always had a way of making conversations with his friendly manner and willingness to share his wisdom.  

Raul was a barber and hairstylist/salon owner for over 25 years then pursued a career in real estate as a broker for over 30 years.

Raul is survived by his daughters: Francine Iqbal, Janice Lee and Teresa Nunez; three sons-in-law, four grandchildren; sisters: Bertha Almanza and Jennie Rivera; and numerous nieces and nephews.

As we mourn the loss of Raul, we remember the laughter, the music, and the love we shared.  His spirit will live on in all our hearts. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 31 at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. A St., Oxnard. A reception with light refreshments will follow at Knights of Columbus, 632 S. D St., Oxnard.
