Ramon G. Quiroz Sr, 94, peacefully passed away at home with his family at his side on January 30, 2016.
He was born in San Ignacio, Mexico on April 26, 1921 to Filemon Quiroz and Maria Garcia.
On November 5, 1950, he married his loving wife Cruz, and recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. In 1956, Ramon settled in Oxnard, Ca and has been a permanent resident for 59 years. In 1986, Ramon retired proudly from the Labor's International Union. Local 585 of Ventura as a Hod Carrier after 25 years. Ramon was best known to enjoy his gardening, cheering on his Dodgers, working on cars, serving as an usher with Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, enjoying his family and always making time to help others.
Ramon is survived by his wife Cruz, along with his sons Ramon Quiroz Jr. (Lucy), Johnny Quiroz (Emily); daughters Cristina Flores, Celia Quiroz, Connie Morales (Joe), Bellinda Camarillo, Sarah Alton, Teresa Acosta (Gabriel) all of Oxnard, CA; daughter Estella Peters (Bill) of Tustin, CA.
He leaves a legacy of 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Ramon was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. A man who always went above and beyond for his family and friends.
Dad we love you so much. We will miss you dearly. Until we see you again in God's grace.
Viewing will be held at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N."A" St, Oxnard Ca 93030 on Sunday, February 7, 2016 from 2pm-6pm.
Church services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 500 N. Juanita Ave, Oxnard, CA at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, Oxnard.
