Phyllis Marano Obituary

Phyllis Marano, a beloved mother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on  November 17th at the age  95 . Born on August 9 ,1929 in Brooklyn, New York, Phyllis was the daughter of Anthony and Kitty Marano, and her life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and joy.

Phyllis was known for her warm heart, infectious laugh, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She had a unique ability to light up any room she entered, making everyone feel welcome and cherished. Her passion  for baking was matched only by her dedication to preparing home-cooked meals, offering a listening ear, or sharing stories, Phyllis left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Phyllis greatest joy was found in her role as a devoted aunt. She adored spending time with her nieces and nephews, creating cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of her family.

Phyllis is survived by her sister Barbara Blockman and daughter LeAnn Moen. Nieces Lori Arsi, Terilyn Blockman, Marci  Blockman, Nephew Steven Parker. Great niece Jessica Arsi, Great Nephew Zachary Arsi , brother-in -law Nathan Blockman, brother-in-law Gordon Parker. Was preceded in death by both parents Anthony and Kitty Marano, and sister Carole Parker, Great -Nephew. Andrew Platkin.

Her family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Care unit at LA Jewish Home in Reseda, Ca. for their care and support during her final days. A celebration of Phyllis’s life will be held with immediate family . Phyllis Marano’s legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
