On October 9, 2024 Patsy was called by Jesus and her beautiful, brave soul was wrapped in his arms and taken home.
Patsy was born on March 5, 1962 and was a lifetime resident of Oxnard. She graduated from Oxnard High School in 1980 and then Ventura College, and finished her education at Cal State University Northridge. At 17, while still in high school, she took a secretarial job at IDS Financial Services after being referred by her eventual close friend/sister Beverly Hudson. She later became a planning assistant for multiple advisors. After CSUN, Patsy obtained her financial planning license and was then hired by American Express Financial Advisors (Formerly IDS), as a Financial Advisor (Planner). Patsy eventually went to work as an independent advisor for LPL Financial Advisors and remained there until the present. She worked as an advisor for 35 years.
Patsy loved working as an Advisor, and especially loved working with her clients. She felt it was important to establish an authentic relationship with her clients. She genuinely loved her clients and she had a unique ability to relate to them. She became close friends with many of them. She met many people in her career and worked with many colleagues who she considered friends and even family. She often spoke about the fact that she had many mentors along the way who guided, encouraged and advised her over the years, and she was forever grateful to them.
Patsy was a passionate, strong-minded, humble and caring person with an incredible zest for life. She gave everything she had in whatever she did. She had an infectious laugh and there wasn't a fake bone in her body. She loved to dance, travel, cook, celebrate with family and friends, the beach, Christmas, and meeting new people. Patsy was game for anything, and she feared nothing. She had a heart of gold and she wore her heart on her sleeve. She lived life on her own terms and spoke her mind. Although cut short, she lived a powerful life and touched the hearts of many people.
While managing a successful career, she was able to do an incredible job raising a wonderful daughter who cherished her dearly. She did this all while fighting a long-term illness. She was a benevolent, compassionate, generous, supportive and loving wife who seemed to make everything better. She was a special sister, aunt, cousin, in law and friend. She was an incredible woman and an unstoppable force of nature. We will miss all the wonderful gatherings she hosted, especially Kris Kringle.
Patsy is survived by Scott Kershaw(Husband), Mykella Kershaw (Daughter), Gloria Delgado(Jesss)(Sister), Alice Ordonez (Sister), Steve Ordonez (Brother), 16 nieces and nephews, 28 great nieces and nephews, 5 great, great nieces and nephews, as well as a considerable amount of extended family and friends which she loved dearly.

Dr, Richard Rothchild, who helped keep her alive for all these years and gave her hope.
We would also like to thank all those who provided encouragement, well wishes, support, love and especially prayers over the years and recently.
