Patricia Ann (Breyer) Grossi

Patricia Ann Grossi, 91, passed away peacefully at home on the evening of September 11, 2021.

Pat was born Dec. 6, 1929 in San Bernardino, California. Her family moved to Oxnard in 1930, Santa Paula from 1931-1936 then back to Oxnard where she remained until 2017. She spent her last years in Paso Robles to be close to her daughter.

Pat was a graduate of Santa Clara High School (’47) and Ventura College. She was quite the tomboy and athlete and was known for her coaching skills.

She married her best friend, Peter Joseph Grossi, in 1953. “Pete and Pat” were inseparable and they spent 53 wonderful years together.

Pat was a skilled bookkeeper and worked for several equipment companies including Mulhardt, Huntsberger and Staben Equipment. She was a member of Santa Clara Parish until Saint Anthony’s opened in 1959, where she volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and for the Saint Vincent DePaul Society.

Pat was the “life of the party” and had a great sense of humor. She loved any kind of fishing, trips to Las Vegas and Laughlin, watching all kinds of sports (especially the Dodgers) and being with friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Christine Breyer; her husband Pete; and her brother; Ted Breyer. She is survived by her brother, William Breyer of Wentville, Missouri; her daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Curtis Larsen of Atascadero, California; her son, Joseph Grossi of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 pm till 8pm Sunday, October 31, with recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm at Reardon Funeral Home 511 N. A Street Oxnard, CA . A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Nov. 1, at 11:00am at Santa Clara Church 323 S. E Street Oxnard, CA, with burial to follow at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery 2370 N. H Street Oxnard, CA.
