Olga Ann Contreras

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our mother, Olga Ann Contreras. She was the matriarch of our family, and through the stories so many have shared, we’ve learned she was like a mother and grandmother to countless others as well. She was truly one of a kind — a woman with an endless capacity to love.

 She is survived by her husband, the love of her life and forever travel partner, Martin Contreras, who was her rock and biggest cheerleader; her children: daughter Ruby Barron and her partner, Juan Rodriguez; daughter De Anna Glass and her husband, Richard Glass; and son Mark Contreras and his wife, Alicia Contreras. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Darren Williams, Daryl Williams, Natasha Glass, and Neil Glass, as well as her great-granddaughter, Violet Williams.

Our mother was strong, smart, nurturing, and an incredible cook — as many of you know. She created a safe space for anyone who needed to talk, to be heard, to be guided, or simply to be loved.

There will never be another like our mother. We will miss her tremendously, but we will honor her and carry her with us every single day.

A time of visitation and refreshment will begin at 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 25 at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 North A Street, Oxnard. Service will begin at 5:00 p.m.
