Ofelia Longoria, 93, of Oxnard, California died on April 24, 2021. Ofelia was born in Ejutla, Mexico January 13, 1928 to Rosa Maria Pelayo and Jose Maria Pelayo. She was married to Alberto Z. Longoria on March 3, 1946 whereupon she moved from Juarez, Mexico to Three Rivers, Texas to begin her married life.

In 1960, she and her husband and family moved to Oxnard, California where she lived until her death. For thirty years she worked as a foster mother for the County of Ventura and was given an award for her long-term service.

She is preceded in death by her husband Alberto Z. Longoria, son Raul Longoria, and brothers Javier Pelayo, Plutarco Jesse Luna, and Johnny Moran.

She leaves behind her loving family Blanca Broadway (husband Bill) El Paso, TX, Leticia Remerowski (husband David), Central City, Iowa, Rosa Hallowell (husband Donald), Dennysville, Maine, Violeta Baldonado (husband George), Oxnard, California, Alberto Longoria, (wife Angela), Oxnard, California, Sonya Thomas, Oxnard, California.
She also leaves behind 13 loving grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren (with more on the way).

A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. A. Street, Oxnard, California. A rosary will follow immediately at 2:00 PM. A Catholic Mass will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Santa Clara Church, 323 S. E. Street, Oxnard Ca 93030 and the burial will follow the mass at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 N. H. St. Oxnard, CA 93036.
