Natividad “Manuela” Roman was born April 19, 1956 in Ventura to her mother Rosie Estrada. She was raised and lived in Oxnard her whole life. In 1972 Manuela and Frank started dating. June 15, 1974 Frank & Manuela married. November 23, 19751st child Elizabeth was born, March 9, 1978 2nd child Fernando, May 25, 1985 3rd child Manny (Manuel). On December 24,1981 they received the keys to their forever home and her forever Christmas gift. She was so was so happy although it needed a lot of work. Over the years they made that house their home.
On January 20, 1997 Rudy Angel Roman was born and made her a grandmother. At the age of 63 (2019) she retired. Manuela was a hard worker with an amazing work ethic. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and mother law who gave us a run for our money.
Manuela had a heart of gold. Even though she wasn’t the richest in money she was rich with love with everyone who crossed her path. She would always welcome everyone into her home with a smile and ask if you were hungry or if you would like a drink. She was always in the kitchen listening to her oldies, cooking and cleaning. She was the type of woman that would offer a stranger a helping hand or provide them with what she can even if it meant giving up what she had (such as a few dollars or her meal she packed for work). She always made everyone laugh, she was sassy and the life of the party.
Manuela spent 53½ years with her husband Frank. She enjoyed going to car shows, Laughlin trips, numerous outings with Frank by her side. She will forever be Frank’s cruising partner.
Manuela not only enjoyed her time with Frank but also loved spending time with her family and friends. Enjoying family dinners including with extended family, holidays, birthdays, BBQs at the house, and her all-time favorite camping. Camping was hand and hand with Laughlin. She LOVED camping and Laughlin trips. She also enjoyed participating in the raffles at car shows (she would always win)
Manuela will be deeply missed not only by her family but also by those she’s met, made friendships and shared laughter with. She will be remembered mostly for her quick responses, remarks and off-the-wall jokes.
You knew you were special when she would call you “you piece of sh*t”.
On November 22, 2025 Manuela left behind her husband Frank; daughter Elizabeth Martinez; sons Fernando & Manny Roman; grandson Rudy Roman; granddaughter Elena Martinez; favorite son-in-law Anthony, daughters-in-law Desire & Brandi and extended grandson Josh aka Jacob.
