Michelle Marie Samaniego, 52, of Santa Paula, passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on Saturday, June 21. She was born in Ventura on November 1, 1972, to David Samaniego and Merryann Perez.
Michelle loved taking road trips to Grandma’s house in Mojave Valley, AZ, working hard, and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, her strong presence, and the deep love she had for those around her. Whether offering support to her siblings or helping raise the next generation, Michelle gave of herself wholeheartedly and without hesitation. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her maternal grandparents, Maxine Bravo and Rudolph Perez of El Rio; aunt Sandra and husband John Garza of Santa Paula; children: Daniel Martinez and wife Emily of Mountain Home, AR, Ryan Martinez of Bakersfield, and Rebecca Bermudez, of Santa Paula; grandchildren: Sonny, Michael, Angel, Curtis, Isabel Amaiah, and Riley Martinez; siblings: Arlene, David, Adrian, and Devin Samaniego, and Vanessa Samaniego Zavala, all of Oxnard, Clarissa Samaniego Moreno of Ranier, WA, Andria Martinez of St. Louis, MO, Moises Carrasco of IA, and Christina Robinson of CA; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family all of whom were blessed by her love, presence, and kindness.
