Michael Dean Bird

Michael Dean Bird of Oxnard, CA passed away on December 23, 2024. He was 77 years old.

Michael was born June 12, 1947 in Sigourney, Iowa to Archie and Patricia Bird. He continued to live in Iowa until joining the navy in 1965. Michael was a dedicated United States Navy Veteran who served for 25 years (including Vietnam) until his retirement from the military in 1990. From there, he became a school bus driver until retiring in late 2024. Some of Michael’s pastimes were bowling in tournaments, golfing, watching sports on TV and traveling with his family.

Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Bird. He also leaves behind his daughter Kristin Aguilar, son-in-law Eli Aguilar and granddaughter Riley Aguilar. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, Papa and friend and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
