Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce that Mary Lou Boudreaux was called Home to our Lord on September 10, 2023 at the age of 83. She went peacefully surrounded by her family and love.

Mary Lou was born on July 28th, 1940 to Alberto Sandoval and Maria Gonzalez in the state of Durango, Mexico. She was the eldest of 6 having 1 brother and 4 sisters that survive her.

She married Manuel Ledezma and had 5 children; 1 passed as a baby. They raised their children together until his passing.  After some time, she met and married the love of her life Carroll Boudreaux with whom she had Anthony Boudreaux; - her "Conejito".  Carroll became dad to all and they both happily finished raising this large family with so much love.

In the 70s, with her love of cosmetics and fashion, Mary Lou was proud to be director for iconic Vivian Woodard Cosmetics. She was able to be the social butterfly in this first endeavor.  She then went on to achieve a very happy career as a home health provider.

She was closely involved with her children's school lives, cooking and baking treats for all students to make their days as special as could be.

For Mary Lou, family came first. Her family was her pride and joy for which she had an unconditional and fierce love.

She had an excellent green thumb and enjoyed her garden full of a wide variety of flowers and plants which were admired by those lucky to see it. She spent many days amongst the beautiful colors of her garden. She was a Eucharist Minister at our Lady of Guadalupe for many years.

Mary Lou touched so many lives with her vibrant and strong spirit, doing everything and anything for her family, her friends and her community. So many of us are blessed with memories of our time with her.

She is survived by daughter Lucita Castro (husband Joe), son Lorenzo Ledezma (wife Delia) daughter Maria Lupe Sahli (husband Randy) daughter Lucy, and her youngest, Anthony Boudreaux- the apple of her eye.  Grandchildren-Victor, Eddie, Lynette, Desi, Jennifer, Elisa, Kathryn, Lauren, Bobby and Christina and numerous beloved great grandchildren. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her infant son Luis, granddaughter Anita and beloved husband Carroll Boudreaux.

A special thank you to our longtime family friend Maria Reyna for her unrelenting care and love. We also appreciate John A. Cervantez, M.D. for taking care of her well-being for close to 30 years and the Mission Health Care nurses who cared for her in such a dignified and beautiful manner.

Our beautiful, feisty and loving Mary Lou, our Amor Eterno, will be deeply and sorely missed.
