Mary Ellen Coryell

Mary Ellen Coryell passed away peacefully in her home with her family at her side.  Mary was a lifelong resident of Oxnard, mainly Silver Strand Beach.  She attended Santa Clara school from 1st through 12th. She was a mom, a grandma, a great grandma, and a friend to all who knew her.  Her favorite holiday was St. Patrick’s Day, which was always celebrated with friends and family, having her famous corned beef, cabbage, and champagne listening to traditional Irish music all day long.

Mary leaves behind her three children: Michael and his children, Christopher, Max Allen, Stephanie Dunn (husband James) and Nicholas.  Catherine Cutler (husband Edward) and her children Ryan and Erin Robledo (husband Raymond). Mark and his children Nicole and Alan and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents William and Margaret Cullen, and daughters Little Margaret and Terese Maureen.

As mom would always say, “May you be in Heaven a half hour before the devil knows you’re dead.”

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 9 at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. A St., Oxnard.
