Maria Luisa “Mamita” Hernandez

Maria Luisa Hernandez Mottú also known as Mamita to many, aged 75, returned to her heavenly home on January 12, 2021, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 10, 1945, in Gómez Palacio Durango Mexicó to Maria Gonzalez Serna, and raised by Jesús and Carlota Díaz Gonzalez.  She married the love of her life Ruben Dario Hernandez on January 9, 1965, who preceded her in death on September 7, 1998. 

Mamita’s most valued treasure in life was her family.  She was a lover of life and a lover of all.  She loved her Santos soccer team and was beyond excited to see her Dodgers win the world series in 2020.  She loved singing, listening, and dancing to all of her favorite artists; she truly had the voice of an angel. She was a faithful follower of the Lord, always passionate about His word.  Mamita was the most selfless, loving, kind-hearted, and funny blessing in all of our lives.

Mamita survived by her brothers Armando and Luis, her five children; Ruben, Irma, Norma, Jairo, Mary Lou, fifteen grandchildren, eight great grand children, and endless extended family.  She was a beautiful soul who always made sure you knew how much you were loved
