Our Beloved Mother Maria Arteaga passed away peacefully on 10/31/2021, She was born in the Mexican State of Zacatecas in 1956 growing up along with her 9 siblings. All the family migrated into the US in the seventies, our mother being a young teen at the time, most of the family eventually settled in California and Illinois. Our mom was very fond of living and growing up in Oxnard and cherished all the friendships she made throughout the years.

Our mom passed away at the age of 64, she leaves behind 5 adult children, 16 Grandchildren, 1 Grandchild, 8 siblings, Followed by brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, and a multitude of nieces, nephews all of whom she deeply cared for and respected.

A Mother’s love is something that no one can explain, It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain, It is endless, unselfish, and enduring, may for nothing destroy it or take that love away. It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking, And it never fails or falters even though the heart is breaking. It believes beyond believing when the world around condemns, And it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems. It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation, And it still remains a secret like the mysteries of creation. A many splendor miracles man cannot understand And another wondrous evidence of God’s tender guiding hand.

Mom we love and miss you each and every day.
