Manuel G. Sanchez was called home to join his loving wife of 53 years, Viola on September 21, 2021.

Manuel was born on February 19, 1926 in Santa Ana, California to Luciano and Luisa Sanchez. He was raised with his brother April and four sisters Ester, Carmen, Joyce, and Helen whom he loved dearly. The family relocated to Oxnard when he was a young boy where he later met Viola Ramos. They married in 1945 and started a family.

Manuel worked as a cement mason, Local 600 and helped build many of the structures in the community, spanning 30 years. He also worked as a longshoreman.

Manuel was a devoted family man and as a young man enjoyed singing with his sisters and dancing with his wife. Later in life and throughout retirement, he enjoyed his home and took pride in working in his yard. He loved baseball and never missed a Dodgers game. Manuel was a friend to many and a devout member of Santa Clara parish, Sunday mass, 7:30am, never late.

Manuel is preceded in death by his wife Viola, his son Manuel "Chito" Sanchez and his parents and siblings, brother April, sisters Esther Lopez and Carmen Estrella. He is survived by his sisters Joyce Palomino and Helen Cuily, daughters Emily (Molly) and Carmen, 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by many.

Funeral Services for Manuel will begin with a visitation on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Reardon Funeral Home, 511 North A St. Oxnard, from 5-9p with the recitation of the Rosary to follow at 6:30p. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 2511 South C St. Oxnard, at 9a followed by the graveside service at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine rd. Ventura.
