Louis Ramos passed away peacefully in his Oxnard home on November 2, 2022. He was a lifelong resident of Ventura County. He was born in Oxnard, California on June 28, 1929 to parents David and Maria Ramos. He married the love of his life, Lily, in 1948 and remained married for 74 years until the date of her passing in June of this year.
He worked as a ranch foreman for over 30 years. He was an enthusiastic worker and was highly regarded by his employer for the work he did. His employer for the majority of his career was with Bob Naumann Ranch.
His hobbies were fishing and hunting. Another hobby was gardening and he took pride in making sure the landscaping at his home was in the best shape possible at all times. He enjoyed being surrounded by family. His greatest passion was being a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his daughter, Georgia Sanchez, his sister, Dolores Valadez, his grandchildren, Curtis Sanchez and Jacqueline Gallegos, grandson-in-law, Gilbert Kray, his great-grandchildren, Anthony Gallegos and Matthew Gallegos, and a great-great-grandchild, Gabriel Gallegos.
A private funeral service was held for immediate family members. He is interred at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
