Louis “Louie” Duran Beltrán Jr., 72, was called to his Heavenly home on March 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Louie was born in Oxnard, California, on November 28, 1952, to Rebecca Duran Beltrán and Louis Roblebo Beltrán Sr. Louie was a miracle baby, born at just 1 lb 13 oz. Despite being given little chance to survive, he defied the odds and thrived. After spending his first year in the hospital, he went on to live a full, vibrant life.
For over 30 years, Louie proudly worked at Gold Coast Transit of Ventura County. His dedication to his work was exemplified by the incredible achievement of driving over 1.5 million miles without an incident, a testament to his professionalism and care.
Louie shared 25 wonderful years with his wife, Terry Vargas. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love. Louie’s family was everything to him and he was especially proud of his children, Jonathan (Deven), Nicole (Chris), Alison (Anthony), and Briana (Kyle), as well as his five beautiful grandchildren, Mason, Brooklyn, Carter, August, and Ryder who brought him immense happiness. He also cherished his siblings, David (Debbie) and Barbara (Chris), with whom he created many treasured memories.
Louie’s legacy is one of love, warmth, and kindness. He was known for his big heart and the deep bonds he shared with his family and friends. Louie loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones, always ensuring that every moment was filled with laughter and joy. He loved us all, and we love him just as fiercely in return.
A celebration of Louie’s life will be held on Friday, March 21 at 10:45 a.m. at Reality Church (5415 Ralston St., Ventura), followed by a reception. In honor of Louie’s love for travel, fun and fellowship, we encourage all those attending to dress casually and share in the Aloha spirit he cherished. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the American Heart Association in Louie’s honor: https://ahatribute.funraise.org/fundraiser/louie-beltran-celebration-of-life.
Louie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Rest in peace, Little Louie. You will be deeply missed.
