Lily Ann Ramos

Lily Ann Ramos passed away peacefully in her Oxnard home on Monday, June 20, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Ventura County. She was born in Ojai, California on September 11, 1929 to parents Toribio and Amelia Hernandez. She subsequently moved to Oxnard, California where she met the love of her life, Louis Ramos. They married in 1948 and remained married for 74 years until the date of her passing.

Besides being a homemaker she held positions in various food service and food production occupations. Her favorite position was working in a nursery school. She found working with young children very rewarding. She also enjoyed doing volunteer work at St. Anthony’s School in Oxnard.

Her greatest passion was being a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Louis Ramos, her daughter, Georgia Sanchez, her grandchildren, Curtis Sanchez and Jacqueline Gallegos, son-in-law, Gilbert Kray, her great-grandchildren, Anthony Gallegos and Matthew Gallegos, and a great-great-grandchild, Gabriel Gallegos.

Funeral services will be held for Lily on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Reardon Funeral Home located at 511 North A Street, Oxnard, CA 93030. The viewing will be held at 9:30 AM with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM.
