It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and friend, Lawrence “Larry” Foster, who left us on May 18, 2024 at the age of 59. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Larry was born on December, 9 1964 in Hawthorne and was raised in Gardena where he spent his formative years. He attended Leuzinger High School in Lawndale California and later became a Business Research Analyst for IBRC-Xerox where he worked for 28 years. He continued his career with Amazon as an Area Manager in logistics. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work and dedication.
Larry enjoyed coaching his sons in baseball. He enjoyed sharing stories, playing darts and pool and watching their favorite TV shows. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement no matter what challenges they faced.
In his free time, Larry enjoyed working on projects around his home, gardening, listening to music, and playing games. He was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm. Larry was a volunteer at El Rio Little League for 10 years and the League President for eight. Larry truly enjoyed volunteering , interacting with the community and with the kids having a good time playing baseball.
More than anything, Larry was a devoted husband to his wife, Lisa of 33 years and a loving father to Matthew(Elianna) Foster, Lucas Foster and Michael Foster and a doting grandpa to grandson Nolan Foster. He was preceded in in death by his mother Sherry Sue Owen, Step-dad Wallace Owen, grandparents Milton and Ruth Steele and mother-in-law Rachel Sandoval Avila.
His legacy of love, laughter and integrity will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. A St., Oxnard.
