Kiyo Tsuruoka Cook, a resident of Oxnard since the early 70's, moved to Camarillo in 2009, died peacefully on Saturday, March 15th 2015.
Kiyo was born August 10, 1923 in Chiba Ken, Japan.
She and her husband husband of 49 years, Albert L. Cook, called many places home. They were stationed in many parts of the world, including Japan, Korea, Thailand, Alaska, Maryland and Texas. They moved to Oxnard after retiring from the US Army.
After being widowed in 2003, she continued as an active member of the Nisei Congregation at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Oxnard. She loved gardening, animals, shopping and was a beloved friend to many, both here in the US and around the world.
Her ashes will be interned, following a private family ceremony, in Chiba Japan.
