Kathleen Jane Garcia

Kathleen (Kathy) Jane Garcia, age 74, passed away on October 10, 2021, after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 2 nd , 1947, in San Antonio, Texas to Gilbert R. Ruekle and Evelyn (Goll) Ruekle. She moved from San Antonio to Garden Grove, California in the early sixties. She met her husband, Martin Garcia in 1967 and were married in 1970. They eventually settled in Camarillo, CA.

She loved clowns, jewelry, dolls, Garfield and was active in volunteer organizations. For many years she was a housewife raising her four children and began a career with the Hueneme School District as they grew older. She was a teacher’s assistant for developmentally challenged children and worked with them in the early school computer labs. She volunteered in the Pleasant Valley School District, Pleasant Valley Lions Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary in Camarillo.

Kathleen is survived by her husband Martin; her four children Kristine Buchannan, Scott (spouse Kristy) Buchannan, Brian Garcia, Jason (spouse Kimberly) Garcia; three grandchildren.
