Julia C. Torres

Julia  C. Torres passed away peacefully at her home and into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 20, 2021.

Julia was born in Oxnard, CA on March 6, 1932, to Miguel & Julia Acosta. On March 5, 1962, she married Ruben O. Torres. They were blessed with a son, Ruben Torres Jr, and later with a grandson, Ruben A.Torres Jr who they adored. 

She is survived by her only son Ruben and will be forever & deeply loved & missed by her son & niece Sandi Zaragoza.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Miguel & Julia, her husband Ruben, her Grandson Ruben Jr and her 6 brothers Mike, Alfonso, Andy, Raymond, Frank, and one sister Carmen. 

She enjoyed going to Palm Vista Senior Center where she gathered with many friends playing Bingo, Lotería, and dominos. She was excited & proud because she’d beat everyone at dominos, and sometimes Bingo. She also enjoyed shopping at Ross, telling stories, and reminiscing about growing up in Oxnard. 

Aunt Julia will be deeply missed by many nephews, nieces, family & friends, and all who knew her. She is united now with all her loved ones in Heaven that she dearly missed. Fly away my Sweet Aunt...you are free.
