Joyce Diane Basua

Joyce Diane Basua went on to be with the Lord on January 04, 2023 in the early morning surrounded by her family at home. Also known as sister Diane or just Diane to family and friends. She was born on May 31, 1948 to the late Robert and Gladys Payne. She was married for 48 years to the late Alfred Basua.
Diane worked for over 20 years in the grocery business where she retired from Alpha Beta in the 90's. Around the same time she also visited the local juvenile detention center spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ with friends from her local church. Diane lived her life spreading joy and the path to salvation through her testimony and faith.
She will be forever missed by all whose lives she’s touched and helped to transform over the years through her words and actions.
She is survived by her beloved dog Willie, daughter Celine Sanchez (husband Manuel), son Al Basua (fiancé Maria), her grandchildren Desiree, Alyssa, Amanda, Sydni and Alan. Her sister’s Janis Barger (husband Marlow), Roberta Williamson, brother John Takeda, niece’s Ashley, Lindsey, and nephew Thomas.
Services will be held at Reardon Funeral Home 511 N A St, Oxnard, CA 93030 on Monday January 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. and online streaming. Followed by burial at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.
