Jennie Caroline Faulkner of Oxnard, California, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 25, 2025 at the age of 76. A Ventura County resident for most of her life, Jennie grew up in El Rio and graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School.
Jennie loved her family deeply and devoted her life to taking care of them. She loved to cook delicious meals, most especially for her husband Gary. Through their fifty-seven years of marriage, you rarely saw one without the other. Together they loved good music and good times, and back in the day they were often the first on the dance floor. Their children were the lights of Jennie’s life, followed closely by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Never at a loss for words, Jennie had a sharp sense of humor that could make you laugh till you couldn’t breathe. She loved sharing funny stories, particularly those that she was the star of. She treasured her friendships, and her friends treasured her.
Jennie is sorely and deeply missed by her husband, Gary, daughter Lisa (Eric) Inouye of Hilo, HI, son Shane (Cassie) Faulkner of Camarillo; grandchildren Kayla, Miranda, Carmen, and Katelyn, great-grandchildren Colt, Weston, Luke, and Lily; brothers Frank (Paul Brady) Reyes, Tony (Cynthia) Reyes, sisters Olivia (James) Gonzales, and Yolanda Hernandez; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Carmen Reyes.
Her family is especially grateful to the staff at Villariana Care and to Mission Hospice. Per her wishes, no services will be held, wishing instead to have a private scattering of ashes at a later date.
