It is with great sorrow that we announce Inez C. Romero, 84, passed away peacefully with family at her bedside January 2025 in Oxnard. Inez was a devoted wife, loving Mother and beloved Nana, Sister, Auntie and Friend. Inez is survived by her husband of 58 years; two daughters and two sons and their spouses; a special needs nephew that she raised; five grandsons and two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff of Maywood Acres Healthcare for the care and attention provided to our Mother Inez over the last several months. We would also like to express our gratitude to Regency Palms Assisted Living Care Home and their staff for providing a tranquil environment and for their attentiveness in our Mother’s final days. Finally, we profoundly thank the nurses of Los Robles Healthcare Hospice for ensuring that our beloved Mother was able to transition from this life to the next, in a compassionate and peaceful manner. We are especially grateful to Hospice nurse Christina H., who not only found the perfect location that enabled family to be at our Mother’s bedside, but she stood vigil with us through the last night ensuring to ease our Mother’s discomfort. We are forever grateful.

GOD’S GARDEN
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered “Peace be thine”.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
