Gina Muhi Matibag (legally Dossin) was a caring mother, daughter, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness and creativity. She passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Gina loved spending time in the kitchen making delicious desserts like mooncakes, cookies, and mochi to share with friends and family, and delighted in trying snacks from different cultures, especially the sweet ones. Her multidimensionality was evident in her varied interests, from Kuromi to the X-Men to the Minions to BTS. In her quiet moments, Gina enjoyed watching Korean, Japanese, and Chinese dramas. She was passionate about gardening and sustainability, found joy in tending to small tanks of fish and shrimp, and lit up when doing arts and crafts.
Above all, Gina cherished time with her family and friends. She expressed her love through thoughtful gestures, tailored gifts, introducing people to new experiences, and food.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Tammy, daughter and grandchildren, Lisa, Bella, and Mikey, father and mother, Julio and Andrea, brother, sister-in-law, and nephew, Ruben, Anna, and Theo, and sister, Joanne.
Gina will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and passion.
