Gilbert Ramirez Hernandez

Was born in Oxnard, CA., on December 8,
1938 and passed away on February 27,
2023. He was 84 years old and a Catholic.
Gilbert survived a major stroke which left
him incapacitated for almost 2 years. He
was a construction laborer for Local 585
until his retirement in 1993. Gilbert was
known as “Mousie” by so many Family &
Friends. He enjoyed hunting, boxing, lifting
weights, playing cards and dice, pitbulls,
John Wayne, watching old western movies,
family bbqs, listening to Spanish music, and
simply spending time with Family and
friends. He was known for his muscles,
never backing down to fight and challenging
anyone to arm wrestle (which he won most
of the time). Gilbert was a character, a great
dancer and had a good sense of humor.

He Deeply loved his Children,
grandchildren, Family and all his Friends.

He is survived by his ex wife Nancy,
Children Gilbert “Ronald”, Karen & Nicole
Hernandez. Grandchildren Denise Garcia;
Jordan, Breanna & Sheyenne Hernandez;
and Veronica Vara. Great grandchildren
Joseph and Jacob Fry; and Brooklyn
Baretto. Great great grandchildren Aubrey
and Weston Hernandez; and Joseph Fry III.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gil
and Nicolasa Hernandez, daughter Suzette
“Rhoda” Hernandez, granddaughter
Monique Gonzalez, numerous siblings,
relatives & friends.

Gilbert will be greatly missed. Rest In
Peace Dad. We Love you!!!!
