Frank Santillano Sr, 81, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2023 after fighting a battle with cancer.
He was born on January 16, 1942, in Corinne, Utah where he lived until he was 9 years old. He then moved to Oxnard where he spent the remainder of his life and built his family. He was a carpenter from the young age of 16 and never truly retired. He continued to get his hands on anything he can build, fix, or remodel, with his saying, “we’re not building a piano” yet his attention to detail said otherwise. Frank would show up to a job site with his tape measure in hand ready to give his input to whoever was nearby to hear it. His mark has been left from the houses he helped build in Hawaii, to remodeling his own home just the way his beloved wife Virginia had always dreamed. He expressed his love by being a personal taxi and handyman.
He would give a ride to school, put everything up from picture frames to cabinets, and even draw up a blueprint for your next project. He enjoyed teaching others his skills he had learned over his career and they will continue to live on in the many lives he has been a part of. He was a devoted husband, father, loving grandfather, great grandfather, and brother, who always was there when they needed him. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Santillano, father, Patricio Santillano, mother, Martina Santillano, and brother Tony Santillano.
He is survived by his children Frank Santillano Jr, Regina Garcia (Jesus), Randy Santillano, Steven Santillano, and Andrew Santillano. Grandchildren Steven, April, Secilie, Frank III, Ruben, Michael, Nathaniel, Raylene, Candice, Randy Jr.,Ciennah and 14 great grandchildren with twin blessings on the way. Siblings, Esther, Sophie, Woody, JR, Rita, and Martin.
Frank will be laid to rest with his beloved wife on Friday, April 28th, 2023. Services will be at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N A Street, Oxnard, CA 93030 at 11am.
