Frances "Ann" Schill passed away peacefully on April 14, 2021, at the age of 91. Ann was the first child born to Raymond and Marion (Smith) Gisler. She was born in Oxnard on December 2, 1929. From Gisler and Eastwood farming families, Ann was a lifelong resident of Oxnard and member of Santa Clara Parish. Ann attended both Santa Clara Elementary and High School, graduating in 1947. She attended Saint Joseph's College of Nursing in San Francisco and became a registered nurse in 1952. She met her husband, Henry Schill, through mutual friends and they were married for 61 years. They had seven children together. She was a dedicated and organized homemaker. She was a member of the Young Ladies Institute and also enjoyed live performances.

Ann's true loves were her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, along with her six siblings and their families. She was interested in hearing about her family, and she always asked about how each member was doing. Her other love was her Catholic faith. She attended mass every Sunday until she was no longer able.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, "Hank," sister Mary Joan Rankin, and brother, Jimmy Gisler. She is survived by brother Richard Gisler and sisters Betty Gerrerty, Grace Pugliese, and Margaret Hinchliff, children Fred (Barbara) Schill of Chico, CA, Joe (Patti) Schill of Las Vegas NV, Nancy (Stacy) Bloom of Mill Valley CA, Virginia (Dave) Gibson of San Luis Obispo, CA, Martha (Rick) Dowden of Ojai, CA, Diane (Rod) Wells of Seaside, OR and Frank Schill of Eugene, OR. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on April 29th, 2021 from 4 pm until 8 pm with a recitation of the rosary to begin at 6 pm at Reardon Funeral Home 511 N. A Street Oxnard, CA, A funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on April 30th, 2021 at Santa Clara Church 323 S. E Street Oxnard, CA internment to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery 2370 N. H street Oxnard, CA. A private reception to follow. A celebration of life will be held by the Schill family at a later date.  If you are attending the funeral Mass please be sure to either go to the Santa Clara Church website santaclaraparish.org or call (805) 487-3891 to reserve a seat for the service or else you will not be allowed to attend due to covid policies.
