Enrico Alcoriza Lacambacal

Enrico “Ric” Alcoriza Lacambacal of Oxnard, CA, age 66, a loving husband, father, brother, was called to rest and come Home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, October 28, 2022, at Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Ventura CA after eighty-eight days of struggling from an infectious pancreas. He was born on March 20, 1956, the 6th child of the late Isaac and Adelaida Lacambacal.
Ric was a Department of Defense (DOD) civilian employee for the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Southwest (SW) Public Works Department (PWD) as a Fire Protection Systems Technician from 2015 until his passing, supporting the Naval Base Ventura County. He also worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Navy Lodge Port Hueneme for seven years. Prior to coming to the US, Ric was an Electrical Technician at an Oil Processing Plant at Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. for 13 years.
Ric was very supportive and protective of his immediate family. He dearly loved his wife and his children and grandkids. He enjoyed Face Time with his grandkids & daughter from the Philippines almost every day. He was thrilled and overjoyed to finally witness his son, Rian, migrated to the US in August 2022, while he was in the hospital. Ric was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Port Hueneme and proud to be a “born again” Christian. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior when his youngest sister Pearl shared to him the gift of eternal life. He served the Lord in his own little ways by fixing the Pastor’s home, the church lights and sprinklers. He was excited to attend Church camp, enjoyed the church monthly potluck lunch celebration, and loved fishing.
Ric was survived by his wife, Arcangel (Nene), his daughter Mary Ann of Manila, Philippines and Rian of Oxnard, CA; grandchildren Francine Anne (19), Carl Anthony (18) & Francesca (15); brothers Exequiel and Eduardo; sisters Nelia, Teresita (Patsy), Elizabeth, & Pearl; in-laws Boots, Getulio, Susan, Ricardo & Pastor Joven Rosario; many cousins, nephews & nieces. Ric emigrated from the Philippines in 2007 and had been a Ventura County resident since then.
A celebration of his life will be held at First Baptist Church of Port Hueneme, 312 N. Ventura Road Port Hueneme CA on Thursday, November 17th, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm for viewing & Praise Service; a Memorial Service, on Friday, November 18th, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm, a time for sharing stories & memories of Ric. Burial service will be held at the Conejo Mountain Funeral Home Memorial Park & Crematory, 2052 Howard Road Camarillo, California, 93012. A reception at 2:30 pm will follow at BJ’s Restaurant Oxnard, 461 West Esplanade Drive, Oxnard CA 93030, and (805) 485-1124.
