Welcome to the memorial page for

Eleazer Fernando Bautista

December 27, 1932 ~ September 9, 2019 (age 86) 86 Years Old

It is in great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather Eleazer “El” Fernando Bautista. Buried at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

Born in Malolos Bulacan, Philippines, youngest son of Eufemio Bautista and Olivia Fernando.  El joined the United States Navy and served from 1953-1975. He was also a member of the Masonic Temple, Scottish Rite and Legion of Honor.

El was a great cook and was a surprise Iron Chef to some of the local Filipino restaurants in Oxnard. He was always cooking and often would cook so much food that we would end up giving some away to friends and neighbors. He was a collector of everything and was a pack rat, not wanting to get rid of anything. He had a weird sense of humor and would laugh with you and at you.

El was definitely “Olde School” and demanded respect. Although he may seem rough on the outside, he was the type that could not say no to someone in need. He loved dressing up, jewelry, collectable coins, guns and cars. At one time, we had eight cars.

We love and miss you deeply.
