Dora F. Rico, 86, of Oxnard, passed away August 20, 2021 after a brief illness.

She was born to the late Manuel and Dora L. Franco, Oct. 21, 1934, in Santa Barbara, CA.

She married the late Raul F. Rico in 1953, and they lived together in Oxnard, CA for 59 years. Dora is survived by three children: Raul Rico, Jr., of Oxnard; James Rico, of Oxnard; and Patricia Covarrubias (husband Sal Covarrubias), of Tempe, AZ. She is also survived by three grandchildren (Alexander Joseph Rico; Christian Covarrubias & Camryn Covarrubias) and a great-grandson, (AJ Rico). Dora was predeceased by her loving husband in 2013 and her daughter, Rosalie G. Rico in 2020.

Dora lived a fulfilling life as a mother, grandmother, wife and friend. She loved reading, knitting and especially cooking family dinners. Dora was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday September 6, 2021, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. A Street. Oxnard.. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Santa Clara Church, 323 S. E Street, Oxnard. Interment to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North H Street, Oxnard.
