Donald Angel Espinosa Jr.

Donald Angel Espinosa Jr., age 31, of Oxnard, California passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023. Donald is survived by the love of his life, Shelby Huffman; his daughter Elisia (10 months); his sons Zayden (4) and Bryson (6). Donald, known to many as Don-Don, was born in Oxnard, CA on July 8, 1991, to parents Amee Vasquez and Donald A. Espinosa Sr. Over the years, his childhood was filled with happy memories playing sports, spending time with his family and friends, and also rooting for his favorite football team, the Minnesota Vikings. Donald attended Santa Clara High School before transferring to Hueneme High School where he graduated in 2010. He was a joy to watch on the football field, leading his team every Friday night. Upon graduation, he attended Moorpark College and Oxnard College. His passion for football would lead him to coach local youth at the Oxnard Knights and Santa Clara football programs. He was looked up to; inspiring others around him on and off the field. One of Donald‘s biggest accomplishments was being an amazing father to his 3 beautiful children. We remember Donald as a kind, compassionate, and loving young man, with the best dance moves since he was a little boy. He filled so many hearts with joy, kindness, and laughter. Donald is survived by his mother Amee, father Donald, siblings Andrew, Erika, Isaiah, Justin, and Sarah; nieces, Emily, Avery, and Ayla; nephews Enaiahs and Elion. In addition to them, he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Alice and Gilbert Vasquez, and Paz and Gilbert Espinosa. We miss you dearly, Don-Don. You always carried an infectious smile that will live on in our memories. May god bless you, and may you rest in eternal peace. Please join us Thursday, March 2, 2023 for a visitation from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Reardon funeral home. Mass will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Santa Clara Church.
