Dolores Casas Obituary

Dolores Casas, 73 of Oxnard, passed away on February 3, 2024. Born to Stanley Casas and Lupe Juarez in July of 1950. An Oxnard native, she attended Our Lady of Guadalupe in Colonia and graduated from Hueneme High School. A medical receptionist and biller most of her life, she was dedicated to the health and welfare of those around her. She was an active member of her community.

Dolores was a pillar of her family, actively caring for anyone who walked through her door or into her heart. She was blessed with the birth of her only child, Leticia (53), who went on to further bless her with three adoring grandchildren: Sabrina (32), Carlos Jr. (28), and Tabitha (20). She was a doting mother and grandmother who loved her family wholeheartedly.

She was a caregiver to her very core, no one was ever left without a hot meal or a hug. An organized and detail oriented creative, her holiday displays never ceased to amaze! Her talent shined in her delicious recipes and amazing cakes. Dolores was a nurturing sister who would go above and beyond in her love and devotion not only to her siblings and parents, but to all her friends and family.

Dolores was an avid collector, whether it was Barbies, or Classic Movie paraphernalia. Her favorite place to be was anywhere her family was. Being born into a family of 4 siblings, she was never too far from family and enjoyed hosting them as often as she could.

Dolores was a breast cancer survivor who fought valiantly through many of her ailments with hardly a complaint. No matter the obstacle, she persevered, to fight on for those who loved her. Her heart of gold and commitment to her family shone through every smile and could be felt in every hug.

Dolores is survived by her daughter Leticia, her grandchildren Sabrina Barajas, Tabitha Barajas, Carlos Barajas Jr., and goddaughter Amanda Sanchez Banuelos. She is also survived by 3 siblings; MaryGrace Gonzalez, Mike Casas, and Norma Sanchez, along with many other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
