Daniel Garcia Sandoval born December 10, 1952. On October 2, 2025, surrounded by his children, grandchildren and friends, he passed away peacefully at age of seventy-two in his home located in Oxnard, California.
Daniel was born to parents, Francisco Sandoval and Carmen Garcia in Francisco Javier Mina, Durango, Mexico. Preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe Sandoval in 2020, and his Grandson Daniel Valadez in 2024.
He migrated to California at the age of 18. Long term Ventura County resident, he enjoyed his long careers at Tube Products and Water Way located in Oxnard. He was an avid baseball fan and a life long Dodger fanatic. Our fondest memories were watching those Dodger games with him and sharing a meal. He cared deeply about his community and left behind more than just family but devoted friends who he spent most of his evenings with. His gatherings always included family, friends, laughter, love and good food. He enjoyed barbecuing on any given occasion with his family, (friends always included) sharing more than just food and laughter around the table. He brought light to his large family, his group of friends and was always cracking jokes. He had a sense of humor that was priceless. He will be greatly missed by all.
Daniel is survived by siblings, Rafael Sandoval, Flor Sandoval, Armando Sandoval, Raquel Garcia, Martin Garcia, and his children Irene (Eddie) Mendez , Steve (Regina) Balades, Tammie Miller, Carmen Valadez, Jaime Sandoval, and Maria Sandoval. His grandchildren Jacob, Monique, Amanda, Adam, Kandace, Brandee, Denise, Alex, Patrick, Elissa, Jordan, and Izabella.
Our family would like to thank Livingston Memorial and their great nurses who helped us along this journey and to the caring staff at Ventura County Medical Center. We would also like to thank his caring friends, and neighbors who ensured our family was feed while we care for him on hospice.
Papi, we will miss you deeply and know that we will keep that candle burning and continue praying for your Dodgers. Go Dodgers!
