Consuelo Perez Candelaria

Consuelo Perez Candelaria 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born in Clemenceau Arizona to Gregoria and Reymundo Perez on May 28, 1932. She spent her childhood in El Molino Zacatecas Mexico where she remained until her teens. Mom moved to Oxnard where she met, "Uncle" Paul Candelaria. She was a resident of Oxnard for the past 71 years.
Mom's favorite pastimes included hand embroidering, gardening her nopales, roses, and orchids. Consuelo is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Gomez, Lucy Chavez, sons Mike (Retta Humphrey), Louie Candelaria, and nephew Joe (Susan) Perez. 8 Grandchildren, 15 1/2 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and God Children.
Mom is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, husband "Uncle" Paul Candelaria, son Ramon Candelaria, Sons-in-laws Raul Gomez, Melesio Chavez, and Daughter-in-law Gloria Candelaria and Great Grandson Ahmari Kingston.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude towards the Palliative Care Team at St. John's Oxnard for their compassionate care and constant help in keeping her comfortable.
Visitation will be held at Reardon Funeral Home Oxnard on Thursday, December 2 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be held Friday, December 3 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Oxnard; burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, Oxnard.
