Obituary
Carmelita Parra, 66, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 in Oxnard, surrounded by her loving family. She enjoyed going to the beach, reading, watching Wheel of Fortune, traveling, and watching the Lakers play. She enjoyed spending time with her sister going to watch foreign films and musical plays.
Carmelita spent her career in the medical field and her incredibly kind heart, and genuine love touched so many lives. She was a selfless person who was always positive, and strong in her faith. She was loving, patient, resilient and incredibly strong, among many other traits that made her so admirable. She dedicated her life to her children and was the most amazing mother anyone could have ever asked for. She will forever be missed.
She is survived by her children: Bianca and Jazmyn; granddaughter Olivia; siblings: Raymond Perez, Michael Saunders, Charles Parra, Melissa Hernandez, and Rita Valenzuela; and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son Ernest; parents Anne and Miguel; and her brother Joe.
The rosary recitation will occur at 6:30 pm on Thursday, May 25 at Reardon Funeral Home, 511 N. 'A' St., Oxnard. Mass will occur at 10:00 am on Friday, May 26 at Santa Clara Church, 323 S. 'E' St., Oxnard.
