Carla Renee Sapon Cappelluti, 67, passed away on January 8, 2024 with her family by her side.
In the city of Saint Joseph, Missouri, on April 2, 1956, Carla came into this world. She was happily married to Felice G Cappelluti, aka Gianfranco and lived in Los Angeles, California.
Carla was an inexplicably caring and generous woman, always looking out for her loved ones. She had a son, Nick, whom she loved very much. In her free time, Carla spent much of her time with family and friends, and would always make sure everyone felt happy and loved during her visits with them. She enjoyed listening to oldies and classical music, and would spend much of her time watching her husband, Gianfranco, play his accordion. Carla loved Gianfranco deeply; they traveled together to Italy often and eventually married there. She also worked as a Personal Assistant before retirement, where she was devoted to providing support for her clients. A protective woman with a bright and joyful soul; Carla never failed to brighten every one's day with the love and care she always offered.
She is survived by her husband, Gianfranco Cappelluti; son, Pete Nicholas Sapon; siblings: Kimberly Weissman (Steve) of Simi Valley and Debra Minahen (Timothy), of Tucson, Arizona; and niece, Ashley Hicke of Simi Valley. Carla was preceded in death by her brother, Mark J. Gillmer, and his son Tracey, of San Antonio, Texas; and her parents Thelma and Donald Gillmer of Simi Valley.
