Bobby Ray Lewis was born on January 30,1944 to loving parents Ernest Lewis Sr. and Vera Lewis in Anadarko, OK. He was the oldest of four brothers and one sister.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting which he learned from his father at a very young age. He loved nature, animals and the outdoors. When his parents moved to California, Bobby developed a love for music and started a band which would develop into a popular band with a big following, called "The Taste of Soul". His love for Jazz and Blues continued throughout his life. Bobby went on to complete his Psych Tech program for the State of California and this is where he met his lovely wife, Marcia Rush-Lewis. They both had long careers at Camarillo State Hospital as Psych Techs.
After the closure of Camarillo State Hospital, they migrated to San Bernardino County, there they bought their lovely home and worked the remainder of their careers at Patton State Hospital until they retired. Bobby had a free spirit and a way of making you smile. He had kind eyes and a soulful personality. He loved to keep up with old friends from work catch up and talk about the good old days. He will truly be missed by all of his friends and family.
Bobby leaves behind brother, Ernest Lewis and sister-in-law Faye Lewis; sister, Sharon Lewis; son, Antione Lewis and his loving daughter-in-law, Lorena Lewis, stepdaughter Kim Schumer; granddaughters, Janessa and Jessica Lewis and two great-grandsons, Zane and Aiden Yanez.
