Beverly Ann Eck, age 77, passed away on April 29, 2023 at Aegis Living, Ventura, CA. She was born on June 14, 1945, in Louisville, KY to Monica and Henry O’Neal. She was preceded in
death by her parents, and her stepbrother Jerry O’Neal. She is survived by her husband, Laurence Eck. They were married in October 1973 at Sacred Heart Church in Ventura, CA and
enjoyed 49 wonderful years together.
Beverly (Bobbie) grew up in Louisville, KY. She graduated from Mercy Academy in Louisville in June of 1963. After high school, she and her parents moved to Oxnard, CA. She obtained her
Associate of Arts degree from Oxnard College in 1977. She then attended college at LaVerne University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She attended graduate school at UCLA where she received a California Teaching Certificate. Bobbie was interested in many aspects of business. She worked as a PBX operator, Secretary for the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce, Secretary and Office Manager for a Pt. Mugu Naval Base Contractor, Personnel Director for a Technical Contractor, Personnel Benefits Advisor for St. John’s Hospital, and finally the Naval Surface Warfare Systems, Port Hueneme, where she excelled in Technical Training for Surface Warfare Systems and Combat Systems Technical Publications.
Bobbie was a member of Santa Clara Catholic Church in Oxnard. She enjoyed dancing, music, family genealogy, cooking and searching for antiques. She also enjoyed collecting family
heirlooms.
A visitation will be held at Reardon Funeral Home in Oxnard on May 11 from 4-7 PM. A Rosary service will follow. A funeral Mass will be held at Santa Clara Catholic Church in Oxnard at 10
AM on May 12, with a grave side service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Bobbie’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, memo line on check: Ventura County Chapter. Mailing Address: 2580 E.
